WHAT IS UPSELLING? 

With upselling, we encourage the customer to purchase a more expensive product than they actually planned in advance. At cross-selling entice the customer to purchase additional products or services that align with a product that a customer wants to buy from your company.

To take the computer as an example again, the seller also says that a certain mouse and keyboard fit the computer perfectly. You let yourself be persuaded and have purchased additional products that connect to the computer. This is how cross-selling works.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN UPSELLING AND CROSS-SELLING?

The difference is that when upselling, you are selling a more expensive variant of the product to the customer. In cross-selling, additional products are sold that match the product the customer wants to buy.
